I know, stop buying them, and I am working on it-with the brick wall who buys the frames. But has anyone heard a logical explanation why so many frames are now made with essentially two eyewires?
Usually things like this happen because it's cheaper, but don't 2 eyewires cost about twice as much? Maybe four extra solder points? Aren't 2 eyewires twice the weight of 1 eyewire? "sell two eyewires price of one. Amellicans so stupid to believe it good deal!" "They happy buy rimless frame with 2 rims if it cheap enough. ha-ha-ha!"
If it serves some function... Lenses are thinner and lighter than ever...? I ask the reps and they just tilt their heads like a confused dog.
