Missing Progressive Markings on Physio Poly Polarized!

We are receiving our Physio Poly Polar Gray lenses (6 Base) with no progressive etchings or identifiers. They are missing the Add Power, the Physio symbol and any way to verify the alignment of the lens. It does have the paint markings, but once these are gone its impossible to align or verify the lens. When you wipe away the progressive paint they have no other markings left.

It's impossible for our customers to properly dispense these lenses, as there is no way to verify fit, lens, or add power (per ANSI standards) properly. If they can do it at dispense (assuming we leave the yellow marks) there is no way to trouble shoot the lens later.

Is anyone else finding this in their Physio Standards (Poly Polar gray 6 base)?

Can't help with that. I don't use Essilor, but Hoya's polarized freeforms are easier to deal with as their markings are visible. Have you tried looking for them with a UV lamp? Probably won't work, but worth a shot.

That is completly true.... after you erase or wipe out the black markings, there is no way to find the laser engraving marks..... That is a discussion I have with my Essilor lab suplier...

I think that Sola and Zeiss lenses are the only ones that use UV markings, great idea to have UV markings though.
