    The best way to make sure your PC is virus free and running as it should?

    Backup all your work, do a full format on your hard disk and reinstall everything yourself, knowing you've done it properly. It might be time consuming but it removes any nasties from your system. You'd be surprised how much better your computer and it's programs will run.
