Your insurance girl is correct. Pt pays only the wholesale difference. Wholesale is defined as the FrameFacts list price. You don't supply the frame though, so there is no wholesale cost to you.
    Good Luck.

EyeCare Rich is spot-on except for the fact that you did already pay for that frame, the patient selected that frame, you fit that frame and took the patient's measurements, then Spectera collects all the overages you collected from the patient, leaving you a measly "dispensing fee".

So, while you may have lost no wholesale frame cost, you basically have done everything (exam, frame, measurements/adjustments, PLUS any future trouble shooting, aka apologizing for the glasses taking forever or shoddy lab work) for Spectera and they keep all the money. Isn't it great to be their provider?

We dropped them at the beginning of the year. Our gross has remained the same while we do less work. Win-Win. We'll be dropping Davis next for the same reasons. **** poor service to match their **** poor reimbursements.

Totally agree here. The only reason we "accept" it is a very large employer has two options, one not so bad, and Spectera. Guess it's better than a kick in the pants, though not much better!
