    How to compete with China

We need to increase our population in order to increase competition among workers, to drive down salaries, so let's make abortion illegal. We need to keep the peons illiterate, so let's reduce funding for education. We need to keep manufacturing costs down, so let's remove safety and environmental regulations. We need to keep the peons motivated, so let's pay them very little and keep them in debt.
Now I understand conservative/repubican policies!

I don't think that any political party in North America has a lock on this ideology.

Here's a link to exactly what you stated.....and it's not about working conditions on this side of the ocean.

On education, you don't need to reduce funding, you can even increase it. As long as the teacher's union exists you can throw as much money as you want at it, literacy and the like will continue to decrease. People on the job worked a lot harder when a good salary was $40.00 a month, now that it's around 40 times that, there are too many people that "can't find a job" or "too educationally over qualified." Just keep things the way they are going our socialistic utopia will be achieved in a short time. Will it really matter if we get our hand outs from the US or from China?

People did work harder when they were making pennies. Some were getting sick and dying on the job. People were working 80 hour work weeks.

Is that really the type of society we want to go back to?

Actually I was trying to bring attention to what inflation has done to a dollar, $40.00 a month was about $4,000.00 now in terms of buying power. Now for work most people just shuffle paper and send it on down the line. And we still get sick and die on the job, mostly because we are so out of shape from lack of having done any physical labor.

The only remedy will be when people are willing to work for 1.50 per hour. The transition has already started.

Seems to me I started out at $0.47 an hour. Of course it would buy 2.5 gallons of gas or 5 gallons of diesel. Also worked 10 hrs. a day outside in the Texas sun. Didn't hurt me a bit.

Here's a response I got on my reputation, from a coward who didn't take responsibility for the comment.
Thanks for another worthless liberal post. It's probably safe to assume you also hold the prerequisite government job also? Keep on blathering...

On another thread we have pictures of a $14,000 pair of glasses.

God forbid their taxes go up 3%!

BTW eventually all our taxes must go up.

People in China are doing the same thing our grandparents did. They are demanding higher wages and they are getting them. The prices of products made in China will be going up soon.
