As the leading provider of full-range eye care services, our top notch practice in York, PA is seeking a fabulous front office associate with ophthalmology or optometry experience. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service and people skills, computer proficiency, with scheduling, billing and medical knowledge.

As our superstar, some of your daily duties will include:
Welcome, register and schedule high volume of patients in a timely manner.
Demonstrate positive professional customer service in all patient, staff and visitor contacts.
Handling a multi-phone line system. Transferring calls, answering questions as needed.
Scheduling and following up on patient appointments.
Enters charges, procedures and diagnosis codes into computerized billing system.
Demonstrate a professional, appropriate, effective and tactful written, verbal and nonverbal communication with patient, families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments throughout the continuum of care to promote continuity of care and service and enhance clinic image.
Acknowledge patients rights on confidentiality issues, maintain patient confidentiality at all times and follow HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Proactively acts as patient advocate by responding to and work to resolve patient concerns.
Maintain an organized system for the progression of all medical records (i.e., retrieving, transporting, locating, copying and accurately filing the patients chart).
