    Help

:drop:Just got a Santinelli 7070 that has been converted to the 9000 blocking system. Trying to find a decent blocker and inexpensive. Is there such a blocker out there? Anyone have any ideas on what will work with this edger. Also, where does everyone order your blocks from? It looks like a really cool edging system, If we could use it. :bbg:

    Thanks

Why not use the Santinelli Blocker model CE-1. It's a small manual blocker and does a great job. Not to mention they're cheap!

Last time I purchased blocks it was from Optisource. I would recommend you purchase a package of '3M Anti-Slip Disc's' to avoid slippage of the lens while cutting Hydrophobic lenses. Last thing you want is spun lenses from your new set up. I'm using the clear ones with the red tab, item # 1705. I have tried others but the LMU in the edger gets caught on many of them due to thickness.

I like to use TAK from salem vision group. I haven't had a single problem with slippage since we switched to them. The are small enough that they don't get in the way of the lmu feelers on the 9000sx express...just a thought :)

I would look at a CE-1, if I could find one.... Do you have a lead on one?

Updated over the CE-! is the CE-9, slight improvements, but ease of use cannot be beat. 2K new
