I've been contemplating posting scans of the administrative law judge's decision on my hearing - a hearing which they had the guts to appeal. And if you'd read the decision you'd be amazed anyone would attempt an appeal.

But then if you've worked for Eyemart, it's really not at all surprising.

A girl I studied for my state license with got a job there, and last a whole 4 hours. She did give them the courtesy of returning from lunch before she told them she quit!

I worked out of the Home office for a while and got to travel all over the US for about 10 months installing equipment for the labs but wasn`t well like by certain people. Even though I was told I was doing a Great job I found myself looking for another job 10 months later and explaining to my wife and 4 kids we couldn`t move in our New home that we were trying to buy right at the Holidays. The optical business here in Texas is cut throat and they think they can train anyone off the street to be Optician or Lab tech. Maybe so but you get what you pay for!! The Optical business needs a Union for companies like this.

Christopher and Doug seemed like really good guys, but Linda the RVP is cold hearted as a snake, stay as far away from Eyemart Express as you can. Everyone been there less than 3 years is an outsider and you will never go anywhere. More often than not they will terminate over the phone because they have no proof or documentation to do it straight up. "RVP Linda" (thats how she introduces herself) is a whack job, no common sense, runs around scared and intimidated by anyone...wants to terminate a lab tech cause she does not like how she does her hair?!? I could go on...
