Depressing, no? I know people who don't know that kind of stuff, and don't care because "I knew it when I was in high school and I needed to know it, but it's not important information."
*sigh* This falls into the same catagory as "Alamo? what's that? Republic of Texas? there was never a Republic of Texas!" Things like this make be want to cry, or at least beat people over the head with history textbooks.

There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.

Not many of us are left who lived through the Great Depression. History is quickly forgotten or never learned. We are now probably doomed to repeat history as once again vast wealth is in the hands of the very few.
