Just wondering if any one was tiring of Marchon's horrible switch to SAP software. Bad Bad Bad execution, Marchon. I feel for the poor souls who have to answer those phones, assuming that their phones will ever be answered again.
Enjoy.:hammer:

Nope!
Never supported VSP/Marchon.
P.S. SAP is notorious for creating/selling horrible systems. Not suprising really. Let me guess, ordering systems doesn't talk to shipping system thus there's 2 week delays as the manually re-enter orders so they can ship.

Worst experience ever!

SAP CRM software is not for the faint of heart. They are probably undergoing birthing pains.
Apparently its primary benefit is an indefinite shipping delay. On all Marchon product. Because that is what we are experiencing.

We just got a Starbucks gift card to make us feel better. Really???

Slow down everyone your moving to fast, frames can't catch you when your moving like that!
You can do what we do and wait for a person to answer.
Average a 10 minute wait. :drop:
What I was told is that Rx orders are now going out at normal. What ever that is. And stock orders are taking 2-3 weeks. Would want to be a rep for them right now!!!

The SAP suite of product are probably unsurpassed in their enterprise software. Go here and take a look:

SAP is one of the 2 or 3 top selling ERP systems in the world. It has worked in most instances and in others, it has been a failure. Failures in implementation are often due to change management issues and failure of the company (Marchon in this instance) in melding their processes with SAP. Another problem is internal sabotage by employees that hate change. Regardless, Marchon's customers will get hurt first, and then Marchon will get hurt when they lose customers.
WE received our starbucks cards yesterday too...$15.00 worth...that pays for what??? not much...my reps are very very very unhappy.....
My excellent Nike rep just told me that he's leaving Marchon for a better offer from another company. This after he told me that he has some $60,000 in product in limbo, somewhere between having been ordered and having been delivered. The timing, methinks, is something less than coincidental.

It's a good thing I have updated catalogs to show people frames because the MVP part of the website works about 2 times out of 10 for me and I refuse to call customer service unless I absolutely have to. It's also a good thing our reps because otherwise, we would probably drop Marchon. Although the one rep has Coach and now she's going to carry Lacoste and also carries CK so not sure how well this will go over. The bad thing about giving up Marchon is that we do very very well with the Nike line and the M-line is a great price so we sell those quite often as well.
P.S. I would be ok with a $15.00 Starbucks card. Although I am a Scooters fan and I gave up that stuff for Lent :hammer:
I was told by my Rep that Marcolin also changed over to a SAP system, other than changing my account number, I haven't perceived any difficulties yet.
