    HOYA in California

I'm looking to open an account with HOYA. There are 2 locations nearby - LA and San Diego - anyone had any experience with one or both and care to share your opinion? Thanks.

We use Hoya San Diego. I think they are a great lab, a little pricier than our private lab, but their quality is outstanding! They are also a full service lab and provide a faxed daily update on all orders in progress..which is nice! I have no complaints.

We use hoya as our main lab, and honestly, you wont find a bigger fan of them than I. Love them.

Hoya's products and coatings are in my opinion the best in the industry. Second to none.

I used Hoya San Diego before they were Hoya & after. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Their customer service staff were great. Many of them there before they were Hoya also. They did great work and were very helpful whenever there was a problem. I don't know anything about LA.

    Good luck to you!
Days where my gratitude exceed my expectations are very good days!

I do business with both the Hoya lab nearby in CT and the Hoya lab in Cleveland, which has a free-form generator. The packages I get from both of them are sent overnight, so it really doesn't matter which I order from.

They are pricier, turn around time is horrible, they won't start the lenses until they got the frames (eventhough we call in and faxed the frame shape and said please start the job b/c we will pay for it and customer services still don't accept to job until they got the frame....unbelievable), drill mount job is fair but redo most of the time, customer services is not that good, they call us almost every single job b/c something always happen to our jobs either this or either that. We are getting tired of them now. We dont have such a good experience with Hoya in San Diego. Looking for a diff Hoya very soon.

Well, Luzerne is processing the Hoya iQ series (SV, FT28, Summit ecp and Summit cd) in-house and overnight is overnight where ever you are.

This Thread started in February (but what the heck).
HOYA has a large lab in Modesto (Northern California). They process EX3, HOYA iQ, and now Shamir freeform in-house....

We Use Hoya Dallas and they do produce good work for us. They will bend over backwards for us, the people are very kind and care about our Patients just as we do. We have in the past used San Diego and they also did a great job for us. I personally love the lenses, the IQ and Lifestyle lenses are the best. I have very little non-adapts with the Hoya line of Progressives.
