If you don't hear about "Gorilla glass", naw a new japanese company(Asahi Glass) developed a real competive product "Dragontrail".
I hope that they use this sorts of materials in ophtalmic glasses.

I suspect its optical characteristics are not suitable for ophthalmic lenses but we will soon see.

Trivex is plenty scratch resistant. It's the coatings that are the issue. I doubt this will affect us.

Will be in specs someday, but right now the phone and electronic devise people gonna git it foist. Kind of like Poly and Trivex we at the back of the line. Despite what we pay we use a miniscule amount of material as compared to roller skates, CD's and other important things.
