I've already shot out a letter to the editor, adding that most americans mistake "clear vision" for "healthy eyes."

I thought the CW for children was age one, three, and five. "An exam before school" is better than nothing, but it might be best to put an age on the recommendation, maybe age two or three?
Concerning prevention, glaucoma seems to be the biggie.

I had another client's spouse avoiding the eye doctor because their OTCs work just fine. These are all mostly educated folks, fellow boomers who haven't been getting good information. Maybe more PSAs, along with a warning label on OTC readers? Ban them completly? Probably the former, for now.
