    SGX Poly vs. Trivex

Ok after a previous thread on poly cracking many have suggested going with Trivex as an alternative. We've avoided Trivex for one main reason the material was not a choice in our retail program, and getting the powers that be to add something new is like pulling teeth. We just recently completely overhauled the lens choices and added Trivex. So heres my question were starting to get the dispensers to think along those lines. What are the differences in cutting Trivex compared to poly on an SGX I'm looking to compare with some others using an SGX as far as feed rates, stock removal, three flute vs. 11 flute. right now were treating it as poly. Thanks for your help

It's been a while, but the last time I cut Trivex on an SGX we actually used a 9 flute cutter (works for all other materials as well). I'll pop into our surfacing department and take a look at our SGX to see what Trivex is set to run at and post it up for you.
There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.
