Director, United Optical Vision Centers Store Planning and Promotions
Position Summary:
As a member of the United Optical Vision Center leadership team, the planning and promotions director will play a vital role in the development of the company's brand and market presence. The planning and promotions director will be responsible for supporting sales, product marketing and product management functions through the development and execution of comprehensive programs to include demand generation and market awareness campaigns, case studies, events, website management, partner programs, market research and field readiness. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Optical Services and work closely with other members of OptumHealth Vision.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Candidates for this position must be energetic, self-starters with proven experience delivering measurable business value through the development and execution of a full range of promotional/marketing programs. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years retail promotions/marketing experience, preferably within the optical industry (although not a requirement). Candidates must be highly organized, result oriented, and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects.

Positions in this function include those responsible for management and administration of multiple functions, or management of general business operations. May manage the P&L of a business or part of a business unit. Manage daily operations of multiple levels of staff and multiple functions/departments across one or more business units. May include day to day site operations, management leadership internal and external to organization, accountable for financial and non-financial results (budgets and actuals). Project management and implementation, staff management.
- Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a highly accountable, fast-paced environment while simultaneously managing multiple high visibility projects. Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Undergraduate degree. MBA a plus.
Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience managing large scale, cross-functional promotional/marketing programs.
Thorough understanding of branding, demand generation, event management, new media and production.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Research.
