    Crier Clip on's...

I've have been getting a lot of requests from my customers for clip on frames, the problem is that I need frames with eyewire screws so that glassblowing filter lenses can be installed in them.

I used to sell the Hilco line, but they discontinued the frame-only models and sell only frames without eyewire screws.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

You may want to contact ClipHouse.

They may be able to provide you a collection of clip frames if you supply shapes that you want?

Won't work - I need full rim clips with eyewire screws - the filter lenses are all glass and cannot be used in a drill mount. But thanks!

There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.

I'm obligated, as a provider of information, to inform you that Frames Direct has them as well. It's up to you to decide whether or not you will support them.

If your good with soldering, you can add eyewire screws and mounts to a Takumi/Aspex clip-on.

    Thumbs up

I used to carry Shade Control in my office up North, and loved them!!! Now we have the Polare by Live Eyewear, which is okay, but Shade Control has a great range of shapes and sizes.

We get custom made clips out of Miami and they are great; they are traditional style and they are custom made to each frame. We use them mostly on frameless glasses, but they work on all. Chris owns Vision Tailor and he can be reached at 877-688-2556.
