    pince nez

    can someone tell me what the original shape for a pince nez is ?
    is it round or Oval ?
    its urgent !

    Makes no difference what shape they where as they are a one hole rimless mount.

    thanks Chris !

    its just i have a difficult customer that insists that he needs the shape of an original pince nez ! on a pince nez itself..( he's got the bridge only ).

    could you pls send me a proper shape chart that i could use as a reference !

    Is the bridge like the one shown in Chris's illustration like the one your customer has? There are other types of pince-nez than the drilled type.

    ECP........there no shape charts for antique glasses, they did not even know the what that would have been. Just make any shape your patient wants in 44mm or 42mm size and you will be OK.
