Silhouette Eye Studio closes in Colonie

The Silhouette Eye Studio on Ulenski Drive in Colonie is no more. The retail store, operated by the Austrian-based company, which has its U.S. headquarters in Green Island, closed on Friday, according to a recording.
Officials couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
When Silhouette first announced plans for the store more than two years ago, local opticians who carried its frames expressed concern about the competition it would pose.
Silhouette said at the time the shop would help it learn how to better sell its products. It wasn’t clear Monday whether that research is now at an end, or whether other reasons led to its closing.

Don't really need a B&M "eyestudio, when you can "just as easily" try on frames with the Silhouette VTO IPHONE APP!
