    Thick demo lenses

    Where could i buy at least 2mm thick 65 or more mm of diametter demo lenses. I need them to replace the demo lens on rimless frames and grooved ones.

    I had trouble finding them and ended up using hard coated CR-39 planos. Someone in China should be selling these.

    Buy plano sph.uncoated. If the demo lens you need to make is small enough, you can cut the lens blank in half with a hacksaw and get two lenses for the price of one.

    Well scratch my back with a hacksaw! Acvtually, I have cut fresnel prisms in half before and used it either on the other lens, or gave it to the customer for use on their next order.

    I've done the same thing with a plano polarized when we only had one lens in stock.
