    Need help trouble shooting

I had a pt come in today that had been having trouble with her glasses. They are lined bifocals. I was not the one that sold them to her but I guess she wanted a computer RX for er new job. He normal script read or as I can remember.
    +1.25 -.25 @180 +2.00
    +.75 sph +2.00
and when she asked about the computer rx the dr changes it to
    +2.00 -.25 180 +1.25
    +1.50 aph +1.25 .

She said the computer part is great but she cannot look out of the bifocals. She said her eyes don't seem to be working together. Makes me think of a convergence issue. I have added proper tilt and everything like occular center is spot on. Any ideas of what I can do? She is coming back to see the OD Tuesday for an Rx check. I will double check the rx tomorrow and repost it if I had it wrong.

Did you or someone else make a pair of glasses to the original Rx? If so, could the patient read comfortably with them? If not, the original add power might have been too strong.

Put a pair of -0.50 trial lenses in front of the add to see if that helps.

Yes you are right, the reading is the same, however you have to find out a what distance she is comfortable reading, ..................and then you will find out that sitting on a desk looking at the computer, which is fine, the reading and close up working distance is much closer.

Therfore the addition should be increased for that purpose.
