    I believe they are both owned by Buchmann Optical.

    I know Buchmann owns Weco, but I thought Briot was Essilor. They and AIT are merging sometime soon.

    Buchmann Industries owns both Briot and WECO.
    They are both for ale though. WECO anyway since they're like a dinasour in their development.
