    Help....Looking for Optyl 1017 in a 52 eye

I have a patient that broke her Optyl 1017 frame. Some people just get really attached to a certain style and I told her I would try to search one out for her. If I remember I think an Optyl 1328 is the same shape but a different temple or endpiece. The size is a 52 eye and the color is a brown I think called cider. I am sure any color would be fine. Please, any help would be great.

    1017

Oh wow. I sold my last 1017 in 1978. I still have a box of tart arnels. We can super heat them in the salt pan and they should stretch to fit juuuuuust fine
    Money carefully refunded

Terri Brogan had a copy of the 1017 but I haven't seen one of them since high school

One of my favorite old frames. Would fit anyone. Good luck!

If I had a nickel for every 1017 I sold, I would be writing this from my villa overlooking the French Riviera!

That's why my employees dont make a penny over $.04 per frame, at $.05 cents they'll all retire to hawaii and I'll have to do all the work.

.... but I will be $.04 richer, Harry you may be onto something!

If you can't find one, maybe you could 'update' her to a Deeda.

Or downgrade her to a Leading Lady, or a Honey, and I'm betting not many here remember the Honey! Hint, It was an old style when the Leading Lady was introduced.

I have one, it's probably 30 years old. I think it's the cider color, it's brown with silver temples. It's a 52 eye size and in great shape.

However, I'm a little attached to it for sentimental reasons. Is this woman willing to make it worth my wild to give it up? :)

Holy cow. I can remember fitting this frame...and thinking, "I hope they never discontinue this one."

It just needed one longer size temple to be really great. The 125s and 130s sometimes were too short. But that would fit anybody's nose.

Short temples....how nostalgic. I get tired of tying them in a knot behind their head.
