What is most popular color for polarized lenses.

I am often asked, "What polarized tints are the most popular with patients, and in what ratio would say they are (for example; Grey 50%, Brown 30%, etc.)" It seem to me there has been a major increase in Brown lenses mainly with younger adults. Would anyone know whether this ture or not.

As it turns out you're very close to being correct. Worldwide, it is about 60% gray and 30% brown with about 10% everything else with copper being the third most popular color. In the United States, the market is even more gray with about 70% +, Europe tends to be more brown oriented.

These numbers have held very steady and I don't see any major changes except copper becoming slightly more popular over recent years.

Demographically I haven't seen any research which indicates that younger people like brown over gray.
