Wanna lower your taxes?

Kill your grandparents. In fact, do whatever it takes to lower the number of people on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and other "safety nets". According to this article, 52% of our taxes go to these programs. Then focus on peace, to reduce the 21% of our taxes that go toward defense and security.

And for all Tea Baggers on Social Security: you're screwing yourselves.

Tea baggers -- mmmpphhhh. Buncha liberal wackos from an ultra-liberal state, Mass. At least named after something that happened in a liberal state. But, try to get them to come protest against something a Repub does ---no dice! And they "say" they don't have any part affiliation. They're just pumped up by the Swift Boaters.
Here's a case in point - our fair city enacted a $1 "user fee" for everyone who works in the city limits.They made sure to call it a user fee, not a tax, because otherwise it would be taxation without representation. Then the price went up then again and again to it's current $3/wk. Now that's not good enough for them, and they want (and it will go through) a 1% tax on your gross pay. And if you live outside the city limits, you can't vote the bastids out! Nor will it be put on the ballot. So indeed we will have definite, Constitution-banned taxation without representation.
Do you think we can get the tea baggers to protest this unfair and regressive new tax? NOPE! Since the mayor is a Repub, they won't bat an eye. But if President Obama dared to enact something like that (Never mind that it's outside his scope), you can bet they'd be there, popping off at the mouth like a bunch of crazed hippies.

Reminds me of a story in one of the tabloids a few years ago where an Alaska family built a house yards outside the city limits. When it caught fire the local fire department refused to help and watched it burn to the ground.

Talk about penny wise and dollar foolish...

NPR had an interview last week with a couple of economists who said to fund the entitlement programs now in place we need to increase every ones federal taxes 50%. They also pointed out a Republican congressman's proposal that would also work where anyone under 55 be given a health insurance voucher and do away with Medicare.

I'm all for that as long as they wait 3 years to enact it.;):shiner:

So Vonnegut had it right; let's institute the "Ethical Suicide Parlors" he envisioned. He, in a dated way, had them next to Howard Johnsons, but we'll put them in Vegas so the celebrants can pump the last of their funds into the economy in a fun way.
