I've used a few pairs, so far so good, nice wide intermediate and near....everyone seem to be happy.....however I got a shock today.

I always ask my labs to supply PALs 'clean' without any markings and up 'till now, because I didn't receive any instructions, I've re-marked these lenses in the usual Sola manner, i.e. the 'fitting cross' 2mm above the line of the id markings.

Today I received a pair that had not been cleaned up and the markings were @ 4mm

Which is correct? Have Sola defected from the 2mm camp? but more to the point, have I got a few patients running around with Maxes sitting a bit high? (and not complaining!!!)

    Clive,

Yes, Sola does list the seg drop as -4.0 in their data files that they supplied to us. This means that the fitting cross is 4mm above the PRP (prism reference point). I guess you do have some high fitting Sola Max lenses.
