Hi Folks
Is anybody using Innovations and using a Buchmann Axcell for frame tracing.
The Axcell has a OMA port on it, which makes me think it can be done. But nothing is that simple.
Any feedback would gratefully be accepted.

Kevin

That's probably better known as a Briot Axcell in the US.
In any case - why not just try it? Undoubtedly, the Axcell will require some configuration, about which Briot should be able to inform you.
Innovations should support most oma compliant machines if you are using a serial cable you will sometimes need to change the wiring configuration in some cases a null modem will suffice. Just make sure to set the baud rates in the machine interface and the machine itself the same, some older machines seem to only communicate at the lower rates.
Hi Dan tech is correct, and yes you need a null modem but just that will not send shape information across alone.. well it might, but it will be incorrect or inconsistent.
There is a 243 chip that needs to be changed on the main board, this allows the configuration to deliver OMA. I'll try and find the part number for you, this can then be ordered direct.
