My headlights on my old car have been turning as cloudy and brown as my old cataracts. The last time I took my car for service, the manager asked me if I wanted to have my headlights restored. I saw the brochure and decided to check it out. Since I have some experience surfacing plastics, I thought I could do it myself. I got this kit

And after about an hour, my headlights looked like new again! It really worked. You get to dry first fine with 500 grit pads, then again with 800 grit pads. Then you wet it and use a sponge with abrasive deposited on it at about 3000 grit, then a regular sponge and some liquid polish and voila!
My headlights looked just like the ones in the video (except I have a similar Sable, not Taurus), and look as good as the finished product.
So if your headlight covers are looking dingy, try this.
