What Kind of Tracer Are You Using?

    Hello All,
I am getting my shopping list ready for VE East next month. One of the items at the top of my list is a new stand alone frame tracer. I've been using a Weco unit for the past 5-6 years and it is about time to replace it.

So, I thought I would ask those that maybe have purchased a new tracer within the past 2-3 years what they are using and how they like it? My tracer is generally used by both lab people and sales people so it needs to be relatively easy to operate. It needs to have good 3-D capabilities since I do plenty of wraps in my lab (and a tracing table that can hold curved frames). I also do plenty of sharp geometric shapes in drill mount rimless (yes, we're still selling plenty of Palin shapes), so it needs to be good with sharp corners.

So, what do you have, and how do you like it?

    Thanks.

I recommend the 4T, it seems to be the best and easiest to use.

You may want to stop by GerberCoburn and check out the Rae and Rae Plus tracers. They both do wrap frames and rimless with angles as easy as normail frame tracings. The Rae Plus has a drop down screen that allows you to view each shape after the tracing and it has shape modification capabilities if you want to alter any shape before transmitting.
You can check them out on their website also at:

    Good Luck!
