    Opticians Training Manual

Recent posts have indicated a need for some type of Opticians Training Manual. Here is a possible source.

I haven't downloaded it so I can not comment on its content.

My favorite technical book (when I taught Optincianry) was and is Clincal Optics by Fannin/Grosvenor. It is beyond the basics, but is a great resource for many years!

You may want to look at Open Optix, available from the Laramy K website. Excellant work and continually updated

I used this to study for my ABO, it was ok, but it didn't cover a lot of things that ended up on the test...but for the price it was great..

nooksak, what was on the test that wasn't covered? I know the organizer of the project, Keith Benjamin, would like to include material on any subject that may be on the exam.

Yup, still have my B&L Job Coach and my boob from AO. I keep them both on a shelf in my den next to my Grolman.

from AO and loaned them out. There were the 4 and an extra, geometric optics book, I think. At any rate, never got them back, so I don't loan anymore. I did purchase the set of 4 a few years back. They are the same. Good for study purposes back then and not so bad now.

NAO is re-doing a review book that should be available shortly. It will follow the ABO job analysis.

The AO manual is what I used in the beginning. I have the Job Coach, but would still like to have the AO again.
