I am looking for computer software to do some calculations. Mainly calculating center & edge thicknesses using lens power, lens material, frame specs, PD, etc.

I have Steve's programs & the Excel program created by the guy from Sola but none of these will do these calculations.

    Does anyone have any suggestions??

    TIA!!

Why not write your own Excel sheet? The formuli can be found in almost any of the text books. It isn't very complex, unless you want it to do 'lookups' for the MaxET, MinET, etc.
I wrote an entire calculator (in Excel) to help me analyze other calculators. You really should try to build one - great practice for the math end, plus you get to learn some of Excel's better features.

I use a program by Optical software. It is called OMICS and I find it to be extremely accurate. It will give you the edge thickness center thickness and weight of the lens. That is if the lens is traced. You can also do material comparisons. The system is extremely accurate.
