GC Spartan Edger Door Locking

Hello!

I have recently started working in a lab that, for the most part, had been well-maintained. However, our edger, a GC Spartan, has had a door locking issue that won't quit.

The door sensor had been fried. I replaced that and tested the door cell state as well as activated door locking. All was well. Until the next day. It appears that, after the machine is turned of then back on, our Spartan's door locking is turned disabled again. You can turn it back on and it will work all day, until power down / power up. I have exhausted all of my sources of information so far, including an equipment expert that has been in the field for 30+ years. Also, my technical support department was no help. Their suggestion was to leave it on overnight (not allowed).

If anybody has any input I'd be happy to listen.

Ok... 75 views and no answers... hmm....

Anyhow, yesterday morning, while doing some equipment maintenance and upkeep in the lab, I managed to fix the problem.

There is a barcode for activating the door locking. This barcode does not open the door locking menu. It will not give any on-screen indicator. However, it will turn door locking on permanently. The barcode is found on the "essilor" version of the spartan barcodes. For some reason, the barcode is not on the Gerber Coburn barcode sheet.
