Just dispensed my latest -16.00 Silhouette Rimless

    Client was ECSTATIC!

For her sister, who referred her, I had made a -10.50 Silhouette Edge.

The new one was done in a Zenlight.

Now, she's off to return to Ireland, where, she says:

"They said they can't do rimless in my prescription."

Just takes a little thinkin' outside of the box.

What other optiboarders have been successful in the ratified air of this Rx range?

    Discussion of cases...

    Barry

I'm interested too, I've come close to running out of bushing length on a few high minuses. Did you recess the bushing into the lense?

I'll take photos of the Silhouette Edge Rx sample I demonstrated/sold to the sister (the sample features a -6.50 and a -10.50), and that will reveal what tweaks I'm doing.

    Give me a few days.

In the pantheon of Optics Barry is Zeus... I feel like I'm the presense of the Mighty!!!!
Bart Smith, continuing to be awesome since 1982 so that you don't have to.

Love is a duet, each voice complementing each other and making them sound better than they would alone, each voice at times stepping back and letting the other shine. We've got a pretty good duet going Tina.

On April 28th, I'll be marrying my best friend. I can't wait!

Hopefully she has a backup pair she's going with also.
If not, you're doing her a disservice.

Then nice job, well done. That's more than a 2nd pair opportunity, it's pretty much a necessity.

PS - Fezz, are you located in the Philadelphia area/suburbs?

    Yes!

Do you want to travel out and buy me a beer or four?

If not, I think that I may know a beer joint or two in the city to hoist a few.

You probably already have issues with my opinions, but after I tell you that I really dislike beer, you'll hate me!!
I'm in Delaware County, BTW. And I'm more in favor of wrapping regular temples around toddlers' ears rather than cables-once they loosen, they're done. And if not the exact correct length, don't work to start with.
Thank you for your kindly feigned attention...

I thought this was a thread about Barry's optical prowess in selling extreme powers in Silhouette frames?

    Ok...here they are!

The first one is an ice frost Silh Edge.
    Rt lens -7.00
    Lt lens -10.50
1.74, hand beveled front & rear, grey (matching) epoxy edge coat

Second pair is a brown satin Enviso.
    O.U. -6.50 w/ diff decentrations
1.74, hand beveled with brown epoxy edge coat

The profile views are really what they're all about...not the absolute thickness.

The fishbowl you see in the Ice frost model is really not evident on the face in a frontal view. I think the close up exaggerated it.
