mobile optical

Does anyone have any experience with the concept and practice of mobile opticianry? I would be open to first hand and anecdotal experiences, advice, warnings, ravings.

Thank you for your response. I did find some posts about mobile optical in the archives, however, the newest is about 5 years old and there have been no updates to that thread. I am in the process of exploring this option to present to a syndicate of unallied MDs. I need directional help in where to look to find the state of the art electronic methods of displaying frames without actually having to stock and shlep them. The ipoint system by Officemate is one such but I can't believe that they are the only game in town. There are wlso new and different truths in the industry than there were 5 years ago.
Any help that I can glean would be greatly appreciated!
