    Eyewear for a dental practice...

A dentist stopped in and asked us to find illuminated loupes. "Loupe" may be they incorrect term. They are worn like a visor, and they flip down and illuminate the work area w/ a direct beam of light (not a laser). He ahd seen them at a trade show, but lost the info on them, and thought maybe we could get them for his office. He wants 6 of them, and said they cost around $500 each. Any ideas ? Has anyone used these, or maybe have a better solution ?

    Thanks !

    Johns,

I don't know if this is the company the dentist was looking for, but they do make a visor with light for the dental industry:

The 580 series is the one with the visors.

Franel also has them but the light on the sets bandk found look quite a bit more serious; the light seems more focused.

Don't have the address here but if you will send me an E.Mail at
optique@intop.net tomarrow I will send it to you. Donnegan Optical makes several models, they are excellent stuff they last about 25 years with fairly abusive service.

He may be disappointed though they only cost $ 35.00 to $ 60.00 each.
