I think yahya is on a special offer trial price so to speak... If i wanted a 2 meg adsl connection then i would be looking at £160++ a month even a cable connection of 1 meg is around £50 per month....Sean said:

Many of our isp's require payment in advance and tie you into 12 contracts..
Could be he's using a connection at collage maybe as well...
Where i am staying, (university halls of residence) i am connected to my university's intranet, and that gives me the unversity's internet connection. That is how i get FAST, an i mean FAST speeds. The £40 is simply a charge they levy to register my ethernet card.

...but the service somes with several restrictions due to the fact that i am behind a very severe hardware firewall. no p2p, no netmeeting, no msn messenger fileshare plus a 1gb per 24hrs max download...i guess it swings in roundabouts!

In order to entice more cable modem subscribers, Comcast will be doubling their download speed from 1.5 Mbps to 3 Mbps by late Nov.
