LOL-I started reading this thread and all these people were saying they had 56K modems and I was thinking, People still use dial-up?!? Then I realized this was in 2002, so I feel a little better.:o
If you're using a dial up in 2007, for shame!:finger:

You've got to do with what you got! :D

Sometimes we forget about the "big" picture. There are children in Africa, hand cranking generators to power their computers to get on the internet! We are indeed fortunate here!

Also important to note that you should pick a server closer to where you live to try and eliminate any bottle necks across the network.

Just got done with installing road runner turbo. In fact that is behind a firewall and a router. I have not had a chance to do a direct connect of the Lan port.Check for decimal points....could it be 1.5 down and 256up?

The 15000 down isn't that big of a deal, but a 2mbps upload is freaking amazing. Like, for reference, I have, according to the site 14777down and 576up. I wish I had your upload :D

    Comcast.

My father in law has Verizon Fios and they're spoiled with

50000 dwn and 10000 up, and I think that's the base service available, they ahev an service available thats more than 100000 dwn which would be ridiculous. I can't wait untill Fios hits my neighborhood, except for trenching my yard it will be awesome.
