Kind reminder in the flu season, hope all healthy

“Foot-Soaking”–An effective and side-effect free way to fight H1N1 Flu

As more and more people are suffering from the new H1N1 flu (swine flue) in the season, here is a very good way of preventing, alleviating and curing the cold or flu symptoms, the way is called “Foot Soaking”. I personally have been using this method for more than 20 years, and it is very useful, effective, and side-effect free. Please follow the following steps. This method is with some theory of traditional Chinese medicine.

    1. Fill the bath tub with water to the highest level. Set the water temperature to the highest possible bearable temperature, normally from 55 to 65 degrees centigrade. If you do not have bath tub at home, try to buy a big bucket with high height.

    2. Roll up your soft trousers to the knee, wear all the indoor clothes as usual.

    3. Open the bathroom door, keep good ventilation, but no wind.

    4. Put the both feet into the bath tub, adjust the water temperature if it is too hot.

    5. Keep the water temperature or raise the temperature a little bit by adding new hot water from the faucet, and the better choice is to increase the water temperature by several degrees. Remember the longer your feet are under the hot water, the higher temperature your feet can bear and accept.

    6. Keep the feet in the water for 20-30 minutes, your forehead and body back will start to perspire. Keep perspiring for 5 minutes. Then you can see your feet and lower part of the leg very red.

    7. Do not take shower after “Foot Soaking”. Dry your body with dry towel. If the shirt is wet, please change one. Let your body dry by itself.

    8. Drink water to keep your body hydrated for the perspiration.

Above way is especially good if you have runny nose and fever. After soaking your feet, you will feel fully refreshed and feel very light. Please keep warm after soaking your feet, better before supper, as after soaking, you will have a good appetite to fuel your body and fight against the cold and flu.
Repeat the same procedure in the coming days till you feel better and recovered fully. Normally 2 to 4 times will be enough. Please remember to employ this method in the earlier stage of your cold or flu, you will achieve the better result.
