    Confused Identifying a progressive

    Message: I need help Identifying a progressive,which is not in the 2009 progressive identifier book.
    the symbols are just like the solamax,a circle with a vertical line through the bottom side;
    the difference is the engraved (very distinctly) ECP on the nasal side,with the add power(125) on the temporal side,both lenses.
    Any Ideas?

    After questioning the dispenser,I found out the glasses are owned by a Pakistani doctor,who originally bought this pair in Pakistan! He has gone thru 8 (yes,eight) pair of progressives,and cannot find a pair that work as well as this pair.Thankfully,optical dimensions has only done two of the eight pair,an AO Easy,as ordered by the dispenser,and a
    solamax,which we did based on the dispenser's description of the engraved marks.
    I finally had the dispenser send me the glasses, which is when I noticed the ECP on the nasal sides.
    hopefull this information will help us find a solution for this doctor.

    That would be a Sola Eclipse, made in Brazil. Closest thing here in the states is probably the Sola XL.

    Sometimes, it's not what you know, it's who you know ;)

    ;)
    I used to work with someone who fit almost everyone in the Sola XL (this was 10 years ago). He claimed it was the only progressive his mom liked and he did have excellent sucess with it.

    Probly a weaker spherical RX. Can't stand all the distortion spread into the distance by the newer generation lens designs.
