Source for Plano polarized poly lenses

Started with a new practice, in our old lab stock we had some plano polarized poly lenses, looked like demos, or replacements for clip on lenses.

Since i started i have used those a couple times for clip on lens replacements, and also to turn a few frames into suns.

problem is we are running out of those, and i cant really find a good source for more.

anyone have any suggestions? there is no packaging or anything so i dont know where they came from, its a large square blank instead of the normal round ones.

    I appreciate the help!

I've tried to order lenses only for sunclips, and those blanks were what I received. But I can't remember if they were from Revolution or Aspex. Either of those companies would be a good place to start, though.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Vision-Ease also sells their Coppertone lenses in FSV Plano Poly, 6 or 8 base.

Aspex and revolution are both good options... hoping for better ones, but we will see.

have some info from ducal on its way, so we will see where they stack up $$

many of you guys do much business with this type of thing? i am wondering if the recent interest in replacing these lenses has been a fluke, or if we should really consider investing in more inventory for this kind of thing.

definatly works out better then having the lab make new plano lenses to just send our own and pony up for edging and mounting.

Yeah I hear you, especially since a plano poly polarized from the lab is so high. If I remember correctly, we saved a few dollars per pair on the mirrored lenses.

    Try several different sources....

You should try a several different sources, be sure to get samples of all their products colors and base curves. Once you settle on a favorite order in about 10 pair of each one you want to stock. wait till you work down to a couple pair left, then reorder for stock. Plano polarized has always been a stock item for me, they come in handy for lots of things. Chris. :)

    polarized planos

We have found the 4 base to be vERY popular...A lot of frames today have flatter profiles so if we are glazing them up as suns, the 4 base looks and glazes better than 6....

Also good for making clips for flatter profile frames!

I stock a variety of polarized plano lenses if anyone needs. Inventories fluctuate daily, but I usually have (in 6 Base):

    CAB: Grey and Brown
    PC: Grey and Brown
    TAC: Grey, Brown, Copper, Yellow
