Please advise for high-base (Base 8.00) curved lenses edger. Especially for those wrap frame just like sporty sunglasses. Thank you.

I've seen some nice work come from the Horizon II, III, 6 and 7 machines. They are made by National Optronics.
We're quite pleased with our (relatively) new Santinelli LEX 1000 (or ME 1000).
Very precise!

Thanks to Jacqui and Barry for the nice info.
I can confirm that the Optronics 7E can handle just about any base. The trick with many of these is in the tracing of the frame. We have the 4T tracer which does a very good job, but on some high bases it might need the "assistance" of an experienced benchman. I believe Optronics has an even better tracer now...but the 4T is not bad at all.
My vote is the 7E with wrap blades, does a great job. Keep the bevel on the front.
Like I have nothing else better to do...
I would save your money and do grooving, polishing and drilling on seperate machines. It makes no sense to tie up an expensive edger to do mundane jobs that can be done easier and faster on smaller units. Buy the 7E or a decent rebuilt 3 or 6.
We love our 7E for wraps.
I've heard very good reviews about the Santinelli. and according to the website, there's even a program for the ME 1000 to create custom magnetic sunglasses. That's a nice feature...
For a great job and dependability Santinelli. Try to stay away from the Essilor products. Support will share all your information.
Thanks to FullCircle, gemstone and Smiley.
I've a good experience with MEI plant, full automatic plant, edger in all the base and driller.
try to read on http://www.meisystem.eu/ We have two monosphera RX.
ciao
I also use MEI plant with great satisfaction (more than 5 years that I use), is an incredible machine, which differs much from the bulk automatic. We have four monosphera and bisphera. The latter has the opportunity to shape both lenses simultaneously. You can also cut special shapes or as Rudyproject, Oakley etc.
ciao ciao
