    Angry Hardcoated problem

    Hello,

I have a strange problem with my hardcoatead. I use the SCL machine. When I look the lenses at the exit machin ( when the vanish is not hard just meadow polymerisation) , the surface is good. But after the polymerisation, i have many "point". Do you have an idea?

I look the lens just befor a dipping vanish and i look a small default (point...) but after vanish a look nothing and after big problem.

I have a strange idea, i think that my blue protect tape is possible cause.
I explain. Now, i find that there remains a lot of glue. It's more difficult for clean the lense before hardcoated.
Have you a solution for clean the lens? Which product use you for clean?

    Hi,

We had built the machine (working on the same principle like used in SCL machine) for cleaning lens with ultrasonic - hydrolyzation.

First tank is filled with solvent of ph14, second with solvent of ph13 ...

I would recommend you to send some samples to SCL for expertise and they will advise you what to do.

We had similar problem and they had helped us a lot.

If you are interested about the mentioned cleaning machine i can send you more information..

    Peter

    Hi Etienne,
Another place to look is your ovens. Are they cleaned and vacuumed daily? Do you draw air from the room, and what is the quality? Do you put lenses on trays, are they clean?

We had something similar happen to us.
It’s so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don’t say it.
