Hi - I need a set of screw drivers, a PD reader, an ultrasonic cleaner with basket, a nice bench vise, a rubber mat for work bench, a cutter tool for screws, (maybe your set of tools for $100 will include these). Need about 20 acrylic frame stands, call me soon before I spend $$$ at Vision Expo - This is for an optical boutique, so all used items need to be pretty and clean. call Davette at 916-813-5370.

I'm sorry I didn't see this and act on it sooner. Other than Frames Displays.com do you know of another source for these. Perhaps the new home in Jersey may be interested in selling some.
    Thank you, Rodney

    Phoroptors for Sale!!!!

I sold my motorcycle this weekend, and in the process of moving it out of the warehouse, I found a crate with 7 phoroptors in it! Most of them are B&L (2 Greens/2 larger?), an AO, and a Topcon.

They were all taken out of service about 6 years ago (I think I got them when EB Brown/Sight Resources went under), but I know they are all older than that.

If you want to make me an offer on one or all of them, let me know. Otherwise, my son is looking for some money to go to the homecoming dance, and I told him I'd give him 10% of anything he can sell on ebay. (I'll post the link here if he lists them)

He'll be taking photos of them tomorrow, and if he wants to post them on here, then I'll give him a cut of this action as well.

    PM me if interested...

I've got a ton, but check with CoolOptician first, and see what she has. Mine are probably older than what she has.

Hello. Cooloptician is closing a deal on most of the tools and lab equipment. If you could give me a quick overview of what you have that would be great. Thanks

I've got pretty much anything/everything, and about 30 of each. What I usually do is put about 15 pcs together, and sell them as a kit for $125. Again, keep in mind that they are all used, so they show some battle scars, but they add instant credibility to your practice, and make you look like an an old bench veteran!

A few years ago, I started a post titled "Better Way to Store Jobs?" I had become frustrated with digging through the cabinet, in search of jobs that were completed, and/or shuffling trays. At that time, nobody really had an answer, but many expressed the same frustrations. (Maybe someone can dig up the thread...about 4 years ago)

Anyway, I kept looking for a solution, and finally found one. I tried it out last year, and recently implemented it into all 9 of my offices. It has saved me a TON of time, and has really organized our office.

When I like something, I like to tell people about it. I liked this so much, that I became a distributor for the product. It's an extremely simple product, but it works like a charm. In fact, the hospital in which one of my offices is located, saw the system, and decided to put it in their pharmacy. They are loving it as well.

Here's the link to the company: http://www.hangupbags.com/opticalsys.htm

They show a number of rack systems, but I have contracted someone locally to make them much thinner, and custom made to fit your application. (And much less expensive). You can buy directly from them, but I can get you a better discount, and I custom make the holder to fit your office.

Send me a PM if you're interested...

Brilliant! My local pharmacy has been using this type of system for several years.

    Hi John,

This is David from Vegas, thanks again for inviting me to the meeting last month. I was wondering, do you know of any one preferred licensed optician to work with me in the Central Florida area.
I will elaborate in a different forum if one have any intel.
Thanks from an independant LDO that is doing it the old fashioned way making sure the patient is first and always happy.

    David,

You might want to call Mark Miller of POF. He should have a contact list that you can access.

It was nice meeting you and your wife at VEW, and thanks for coming to the roundtable discussion. Your input was very helpful.

    Hey All,

I was in the warehouse yesterday, making room for some of the new stock we picked up in Vegas and found some frames that I am really overstocked on. In particular, I've got 2 styles of Theory that although we sell them, they aren't quick movers in this area. I also have a lot of Nina Ricci

In the theory I've got 1120 and 1108s. I've got about 30 pieces of each.
In Nina Ricci, I've got 2250,2251, and 2249s. I've got about 100-125 pieces of each.

I'll sell the Theorys for 10% of list price, and the Nina Ricci's for 20% of list. I don't want to sell ones and twos, so there is a 10 piece minimum. Shipping will be a flat rate of $4 anywhere in the lower 48.
