    Frame turnover

I'm new to the boards, so here's a quick hello with a question.

If I may ask, how does everyone keep track of their frame inventory and turnover?

    Computer program, outside company, etc.

Especially interested in how you keep track of what frames DO and DO NOT sell well.

    Thank you!

    Welcome to Optiboard!

We use our software (Officemate) to do so.

Welcome to Optiboard... I use officemate to track general information like total numbers per demographic and price points, several years back I maintaind current inventory and kept an eye on the 4X turnover, but that takes to much time and effort for the resulting info (just my thoughts...). A good practice management software is key to watching the numers you feel is important. good luck...

We use Goal software to keep track of our inventory. It really helps me keep track of what is selling and not selling. Not to mention makes inventory count at the end of the year much easier.

Depends how busy your office is. I do it by hand but eventually (hopefully) we'll get busy enough to justify a computerized program. I don't mind keeping track manually anyway as I have figured a fairly simple and quick way of keeping track and the end result is the same.

I'm also using Officemate, and I'm pretty happy with it. Before I came to this office, they had a system of colored tags and codes, and I don't think there was really any rhyme or reason to it. I like to know how many frames I've got at any time, and how many from each vendor. I reconcile (did I spell that right?) every quarter, so usually I can trust if the computer says I have 1 of something.

I've also used Compulink at other offices, and liked it just as well (if maybe not a little better?). As far as office programs, I preferred Compulink. We're constantly coming up with things that Officemate does crazily, or just can't do for us.

Welcome to Optiboard!! I hope you find lots of answers from these guys!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

I would agree... Goal is another good software and reasonably priced. It is Mac based and almost bullet proof.
