Transitions in High Index Plastics

Is there a particular reason that no one has tried to put Transitions in any index above a 1.67?

Nikon has 1.74 transition now.

Hoya will very soon have a 1.74 Transitions lens available too.

I just went to the Nikon website and they didn't have anything about Transitions 1.74? Did you mean Seiko?

Probably has a lot to do with demand. 1.74 is still in low use.

Probably on the Canadian website. Nikon Canada is kind of different from Nikon US.

Nothing about Trans 1.74.
