    Custom hand-tool maker

I need to have a favorite old plier duplicated, and don't know who to ask. It's a nose-pad plier, somewhat similar to a Hilco flat/round snipe, but with the flat side made concave, and the jaws very long and slim. It was a gift from a friend of my dad; it's older than most of the people reading this. I've had to take it out of my personal toolkit to leave in the office (I can't seem to do an adjustment without it) and I need another. I've approached most of the tool vendors at past Expo's with no result. Who can make a copy?

Most machine shops should be able to duplicate with ease.

I know the plier you are talking about. I tried to find one 15 years ago and no one made it. I finally found one in a shop that was closing. I'll keep my eyes open for one.
I've never been able to adjust a nosepad arm properly without that plier, all you have to do is squeeze the arm with the tool and it curls it. Every other plier you must bend the arm.
The one I have is Vigor PL 53-G

I think that's it! Thank you! Mine doesn't say Vigor anywhere, but is engraved "53G" inside. The only other markings are "Germany" inside, and "Damascus", along with the sword logo, on the outside. The Vigor site does not have the 53-G shown. Any Vigor people out there who can shed light on this? Thanks in advance, and thanks CME.
