    Hey Chip'

    "Steroflex" what's that?
Looking closely at the word on their frames I see, sferoflex.

Early'st I recall of that word was with Berdel in the very early 80's.

So my question, is it a collection? Is it a collection with a type of hinge? Or is it a hinge?

(as if we do not have enough to beat our brains over)

No! I can't afford them! They were a gift. That's why it was so important to find it before my 12 year old used it as a saddle horn cover!

    Blue Jumper Latest News.....................

could only find bottom line news, so all other is rumors until official:

Financial Statements for Luxottica Group SpA (LUX)

Year over year, Luxottica Group SpA has seen their bottom line shrink from €489.9M to €390.2M despite an increase in revenues from €5.0B to €5.2B. An increase in the percentage of sales devoted to cost of goods sold from 34.38% to 35.72% was a key component in the falling bottom line in the face of rising revenues.

Wow...rising revenues, falling profits. Anyone else experience that?

Lux's strategy is founded on brands. I find it difficult to envision.

Don't look at it as losing a sock from a pair, think of it as gaining a sock for another pair.

Think back to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and their creative use of the extra sock...

(For those that don't know, just do a Google Image search for 'Red Hot Chili Peppers Sock' and check out the results)

Luxottica is joining a campaign against Fox

As the retail parent of lensCrafter and Pearle Vision, Luxottica Retail has recently joined a boycott against the Glenn Beck program belonging to Fox News Channel. The campaign launched by ColorChange.org is to some extent a combination of political and commercial issues.

    Sorry...I retract my statement

I was going to say something nasty about Lux, but I hate being redundant, so I'll keep it to myself.

    Anyway, check this out:
    ColorChange.org

Go to the "about us" section.
Look at the very last line.
Does that name sound famliar? (Think "recent communist)
Now you know the reason for the boycott.

Just another reason to not buy from Lux.
