    What PAL is this?

I just saw a pair of PAL's with the notations, where the add would normally appear, 212 on the OS and 213 on the OD. The mfg. mark is a kind of an "S" (not Sola) with accent marks, all done in pointilist style like Varilux used for the Infinity long ago. What is this thing, anybody know?

Sounds like a digital/free-form produced progressive.

    Shamir Auto II?
    Seiko Supercede?

Thanks, Fezz - the Shamir logo in the OLA identifier doesn't match these lenses, but my only copy here in the branch office is from 2006, so maybe the Supercede is it. Do they often use 1/8th diopter steps for the add?

It's a freeform. Auto II is a good guess. The add is not in eights, but hundreths.

Yes, the add is actually 2.12 and 2.13. It's compensated for tilt, wrap, and vertex. The actually Rx probably read 2.25 add.

I do not know the exact lens, though.
