    Lightbulb New frame line ideas

We are looking for a new high end frame line for spring and need some ideas. Minneapolis is pretty competitive in the high end market and we need something that homer down the street isn't selling. Oliver Peoples, Matsuda, Lunor, those sorts of lines are what I have in mind, but they are taken. Frames that sell in the $500.00 range. Any names you can throw at me would be helpful, we are likely to be at the expo and want some ideas before hand.

    Thanks

I think our resident OptiWizard Homer might take exception to this comment! ;)

    Thumbs up

How about Gold & Wood? Do you have that line yet? Our markets sound very similar and it does extremely well here.
They are beautifully constructed and quite different from your
average three piece mount.(rimmed frames also available).
They also feel like quality frames and clients are more apt
to pay the big ticket price for them. Good Luck.

Sama vs. Matsuda------Both lines have very similar design concept
based on the Japanese sword (Samurai).
    Furthermore, Sama offers more Frenchy
    art taste.

Some Calvin Klein shares the same steel construction as Lunor. Some pieces from Okio also offers saddle bridges if that's what you like.

Gold & Wood is the poor man's Cariter with more silm design. Woodoptiks carries a few pieces of unique bamboo temples for drill mount rimless. My friend, Franco, the owner of MasXon Optique in Sherman Oaks area invests 22 K cast gold parts and real diamond with buffalo horn temples which fades Cartier line far away. Each piece is sold for thousands of dollars.

To me, JF Rey is the Godfather of plastic frames. Each design of his plastic frame has its own character. If color is a concern, stay with Alain Mikli. He is the king of color PLASTIQUE !

    Hello Lommy,

According to the lab manager of LA Eyeworks, Kim, now OSA has the line.

You may contact OSA at www.osainternational.com

Here is the web site for LA Eyeworks.

    Good Luck
