This is a real heads up on the problems with AMD and the use of proper sunglasses can help prevent this problem. If the light is blocked that causes the AMD prior to the negative effects of the AMD; the disease can be stopped in its tracks with the correct sunglasses.
The one to consider for this purpose is melanin, it is the only one to block the harmful light and give true color recognition.

I am working on a big project to help fight AMD and this is another example that we are going in the right direction.
