Here in Quebec its official moving day (100,000 addres changes expected), introduced 1976 after the first separatist provincial government got elected. It had been May first forever but they changed for the Canada Day date. However all governments, Banks and Post office are closed.

Nope, apparently people use July 1 in Quebec for Moving Day. I do not know if it is official, but I can see the Separatist Parti-Quebecois pushing for it that way.

The may 1 was move for july for the following reason ... school ... lot easier to move when school is finish ... make sens to me. Could have been august 1 to ... but now august 1 is in the construction holiday weeks ...

You are actually right.........the separatist party introduced and changed it after their first election win in 1976.

What's the difference between Chris Ryser and the National Enquirer ?

National Enquirer gives information past the shocking front page.

Looks there is a lot of National Enquirer headers only readers in Canada.

What's shocking me the most is that nobody asked : WHY IS IT LIKE THAT ?
